Last Friday, April 4, a new meeting of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Working Group of the Habic cluster took place at the facilities of Imar-Innometal company in Ortuella (Biscay). The event brought together representatives from associated companies, technology centers, and key agents of the innovation ecosystem to continue exploring the opportunities offered by AI in the fields of habitat, construction, and specification.
The session began with a welcome to the participating companies and a presentation of the host company and its showroom. Subsequently, Tecnalia presented a summary report of the AI workshop held in the previous meeting, and shared along with Habic a compilation of R projects related to artificial intelligence presented to date.
One of the prominent blocks of the day was dedicated to the current uses of AI in architecture studios and specification, with contributions from companies such as Kategora, Oliver Design, and IDOM. The Smart Home Living initiative, promoted by Tecnalia, was also presented, and different applications of AI in the construction and development sectors were analyzed, with the intervention of Altuna y UrĂa.
The meeting also featured the participation of the Basque Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC), which presented its roadmap for the deployment of AI in the Basque Country. Finally, the next steps for the group were addressed, such as the organization of thematic and monographic workshops, and the SPRI Fast Track Innobideak program was presented, aimed at promoting innovative projects.
After the meeting, starting at 12:00 PM, bilateral meetings were held between the managers of the Fast Track Innobideak program and companies interested in exploring the viability of their proposals.
With this new session, the Habic Artificial Intelligence Working Group continues to consolidate itself as a space for collaboration and joint learning to drive the digital transformation of the sector.
