European Projects

Habic actively participates in European projects, collaborating with clusters from other countries to promote innovation and competitiveness in the sector. Through these initiatives, it facilitates access to new technologies, promotes sustainability, and opens opportunities in international markets.

Among the projects in which it participates are EPIX, focused on smart cities, and Furniture Go International (FGOI), which supports the expansion of the furniture sector in strategic markets. These collaborations allow Habic to strengthen its international network and generate new opportunities for the habitat industry.

The main objective of reBUILD is to strengthen partnerships between European Union and Ukrainian clusters within the furniture and construction ecosystems. The project supports the integration of Ukrainian companies into European value chains, facilitating their access to international markets and the development of sustainable economic models.

The initiative focuses on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their digital and ecological transition processes, promoting the circular economy and innovation in production and materials used. By developing strategic tools and market intelligence services, the project provides SMEs with the necessary resources to effectively navigate a dynamic and competitive economic environment.

reBUILD supports the development of technical and management skills of SMEs, offering training and mentoring programs, as well as assistance for internationalization and collaborative networking.

By promoting cross-border cooperation and strategic partnerships, reBUILD contributes to the development of a more integrated and sustainable business ecosystem. Additionally, the project supports the formulation of policies and strategies for long-term economic growth based on innovation and sustainability.

The following participate in this project: HYGIA, legal management entity of Transylvanian Furniture Cluster (Romania), the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers (Ukraine), the Wood Industry Cluster (Slovenia) and HABIC Cluster (Spain)

The European project EPIX (Eco-system Partnership for Interclusters and smart cities eXchanges) is an initiative funded by the European Commission that seeks to strengthen collaboration between clusters, SMEs, and cities in the field of smart cities.

With a duration of two years, EPIX promotes transnational cooperation and knowledge exchange between key actors in the sector, facilitating the adoption of innovative solutions for urban transformation. Through the ClusterXchange program, the project promotes mobility and networking between companies and organizations from different European countries.

The EPIX project brings together 6 clusters covering four main areas of intervention: Smart Energy (RI LIV); Smart Mobility and Transport (MoWiN.net); Smart Data (DUTIREG); Smart Infrastructures (SIC and HABIC) and Smart IoT Devices (ELCA).

The European project Furniture Go International (FGOI) is an initiative funded by the European Commission under the COSME program, which seeks to strengthen the internationalization of European SMEs in the furniture sector. Launched in September 2021 with a duration of three years, FGOI brings together eight clusters from six European countries, including HABIC, to promote cooperation in the furniture industry and related sectors. The project focuses on markets in the United States, Canada, Egypt, and South Africa, with the aim of designing and executing internationalization activities tailored to the specific needs of SMEs in the sector.

Go Furniture is a European metacluster that brings together various furniture sector clusters to promote innovation, sustainability, and internationalization of participating companies. Its goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of companies through cooperation in key areas such as digital transformation, circular economy, and expansion into new markets. Through joint projects, networking opportunities, and knowledge exchange activities, the metacluster facilitates access for furniture manufacturers, suppliers, and related companies to innovative solutions aligned with global trends.
