The Habic cluster has launched the Ecobath project, a pioneering initiative that will develop industrialized bathrooms without lower structural support, focusing on innovation and sustainability in construction.
The project involves the participation of five partners:
- Habic, as project coordinator.
- Indushouse, as the lead company.
- Zero6Passiv, Instalaciones Fojansa, and Jorge Fernández, as specialized partners in different areas of the process.
Ecobath will run until June 2026 and is funded by the Eraikal 2024 program, promoted by the Department of Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government.
This is a pilot project in which new concepts of industrialized bathrooms without lower structural support will be designed and developed. Additionally, the resulting prototypes will be evaluated through a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) to optimize the sustainability of the materials and systems used.
The expected outcome of the project is the manufacture of full-scale prototypes of functional industrialized bathrooms, incorporating sustainability and efficiency criteria in their design and production.
