Dissemination Events – International Biennial of Architecture of the Basque Country Mugak

With the aim of promoting the 4th edition of the International Biennial of Architecture of the Basque Country Mugak/, two presentation events accompanied by a traveling exhibition were held during September in Valencia and Madrid.

The traveling exhibition, directed and designed by Habic, was set up at the Hábitat Valencia fair from September 19 to 22 and at ETSAM, Madrid, from September 27 to October 16.

The first presentation event took place in the NUDE agora at the Hábitat Valencia fair on September 21. Maria Arana, curator of Mugak/, along with Cristina Acha from Azab Architects, gave a presentation of the biennial highlighting this year’s theme: REBUILD, REINHABIT, AND RETHINK.

The next biennial presentation event took place at the School of Architecture of Madrid on September 28.

The participants were:

• Manuel Blanco, director of ETSAM

• Pablo García Astrain, director of Housing, Land and Architecture of the Basque Government,

• Iñaqui Carnicero, secretary general of Urban Agenda and Housing of MITMA

• Maria Arana, curator of the International Biennial of Architecture of the Basque Country Mugak/

• Jon Begiristain, director of the School of Architecture of the UPV/EHU and co-author of the UPV/EHU pavilion.

• Behark, architects of the Mugak/ Pavilion in Bilbao

• Julia Ruiz-Cabello and Santiago del Águila, winning architects of the TAC! Pavilion in San Sebastian

To conclude, a cocktail was shared with the attendees.
